WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?
Atomoxet 60mg is used to treat Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children over 6 years, adolescents, and adults. It helps improve attention, reduce impulsivity, and manage hyperactivity, enhancing focus and daily function.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Atomoxet contains Atomoxetine, a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI). It increases the levels of norepinephrine in the brain, which improves concentration, behavior regulation, and impulse control in patients with ADHD.

HOW TO USE?
Take Atomoxet 60mg once daily or as directed by your physician. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Do not chew or split the tablet.

SIDE EFFECTS
Common: Decreased appetite, dry mouth, nausea, fatigue, insomnia
Less common: Increased heart rate, dizziness, mood swings
Serious (rare): Liver injury, suicidal thoughts, allergic reactions
Report any unusual or severe effects to your doctor immediately.

WHAT TO DO IF I MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it's close to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.

PRECAUTIONS

• Not recommended for individuals with severe cardiovascular conditions, glaucoma, or liver disease

• Use cautiously if there is a history of mental health disorders

• Regularly monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and mood changes

WHEN DO I NEED TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP?
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience:

• Chest pain, rapid heartbeat, or fainting

• Yellowing of skin/eyes (possible liver damage)

• Depression, aggression, or suicidal thoughts

CAN I TAKE IT WITH OTHER MEDICINES?
Inform your doctor if you are taking:

• MAO inhibitors, antidepressants, or blood pressure medications

• Asthma treatments or stimulants
  Some medications may interact and increase the risk of side effects.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS
No major restrictions. Can be taken with or without food. Limit alcohol consumption to avoid CNS-related side effects like drowsiness or confusion.

HOW TO STORE?
Store at 15–30°C, in a dry place away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

PREGNANCY CATEGORY
Category C – Use only if clearly needed. Discuss risks with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
