Aciphex

AcipHex is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medication used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, erosive esophagitis, and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. It works by reducing acid production in the stomach, providing long-lasting relief from heartburn, acid reflux, and related symptoms.

AcipHex helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, prevents ulcers, and may also be prescribed to manage Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition involving excessive stomach acid production.

It is available in two main forms:

  • AcipHex Tablets – For adults and adolescents

  • AcipHex Sprinkle® – For children or individuals who cannot swallow tablets

HOW IT WORKS:

AcipHex contains Rabeprazole Sodium, which blocks the proton pumps in the stomach lining, significantly decreasing acid secretion. This helps reduce irritation, heal ulcers, and prevent acid-related damage.

USES:

  • GERD (Acid Reflux) Treatment

  • Healing and maintenance of erosive esophagitis

  • Stomach and duodenal ulcer treatment

  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (high stomach acid levels)

  • H. pylori eradication (when used in combination with antibiotics)
