WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?
Augmentin 625mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, including sinusitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin infections, and dental infections.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Augmentin 625mg contains Amoxicillin (500mg) and Clavulanic Acid (125mg). Amoxicillin kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall, while Clavulanic Acid prevents bacterial resistance by inhibiting beta-lactamase enzymes. This combination enhances antibiotic effectiveness.

HOW TO USE?
Take Augmentin 625mg every 8–12 hours as prescribed. Always take with food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water; do not chew or crush.

SIDE EFFECTS
Common: Nausea, diarrhea, mild skin rash, abdominal discomfort
Less common: Vomiting, yeast infections, dizziness
Serious (rare): Allergic reactions, liver dysfunction, severe diarrhea (C. difficile infection)

WHAT TO DO IF I MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s close to the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take two doses at once.
