Fertogard 100mg

WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?

Fertogard 100mg is an ovulatory stimulant, prescribed for infertility due to anovulation. It increases production of gonadotropins and causes the ovaries to release 1 or more eggs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Clomiphene helps eggs to finish growing. It lets them go to be fertilized.

HOW TO USE?

Oral: 50 mgday for 5 days starting on the 5th day of menstrual cycle or at any time if there is absence of a menstrual period. It may be increased to 100 mgday for the 2nd course as early as 30 days after previous therapy if needed. Total max: 6 treatment cycles. It comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Hot flashes. Ovarian cyst. Headache. Blurred eyesight. Upset stomach or throwing up. Belly pain. For women, breast soreness. Period (menstrual) changes. These include lots of bleeding, spotting, or bleeding between cycles.

Call your doctor to find out what to do.

PRECAUTIONS:

If you have an allergy to clomiphene or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you have any of these health problems: Liver disease, ovarian cysts, pituitary tumor, adrenal gland disease, thyroid gland disease, or vaginal bleeding. If you are pregnant or may be pregnant.

WHEN DO I NEED TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP?

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Trouble breathing. Very bad belly pain. Very bad headache. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Swelling, warmth, or pain in the leg or arm. For women, if you get pregnant while taking this drug. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

CAN I TAKE IT WITH OTHER MEDICINES?

Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. Taking them together can cause bad side effects. Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS:

Avoid Alcohol.

HOW TO STORE:

Oral: Store at 15-30°C.Store it in room temperature and in airtight container.

PREGNANCY CATEGORY:

Category X: Studies in animals or humans have demonstrated fetal abnormalities andor there is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience, and the risks involved in use of the drug in pregnant women clearly outweigh potential benefits.
