Atomoxet 10mg – Atomoxetine Tablets

WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?
Atomoxet 10mg is used to treat Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults. It helps improve focus, attention span, and reduces impulsive behavior.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Atomoxet contains Atomoxetine, a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI). It increases norepinephrine levels in the brain, helping regulate attention, behavior, and impulse control.

HOW TO USE?
Take Atomoxet 10mg exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day for best results. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

SIDE EFFECTS
Common: Dry mouth, decreased appetite, trouble sleeping, nausea, fatigue
Less common: Mood swings, increased heart rate, high blood pressure
Serious (rare): Liver problems, suicidal thoughts, severe allergic reactions
Contact your doctor if you experience any unusual or severe symptoms.

WHAT TO DO IF I MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s close to your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.

PRECAUTIONS

• Not recommended for patients with severe heart disease, glaucoma, or liver impairment

• Monitor blood pressure and mental health regularly

• Use with caution in individuals with a history of depression or suicidal thoughts

WHEN DO I NEED TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP?
Seek immediate help if you experience:

• Chest pain, shortness of breath, or fainting

• Yellowing of the skin/eyes (signs of liver issues)

• Mood changes, agitation, or suicidal thoughts

CAN I TAKE IT WITH OTHER MEDICINES?
Inform your doctor if you are taking:

• Antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, asthma medications, or blood pressure drugs
  Drug interactions may alter how Atomoxet works or increase side effects.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS
No major food restrictions. Can be taken with or without food. Avoid alcohol as it may worsen drowsiness or mental side effects.

HOW TO STORE?
Store at 15–30°C, in a dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

PREGNANCY CATEGORY
Category C – Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. Not recommended during breastfeeding.
