WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?
Asthalin 2mg is used to treat and prevent asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory conditions involving airway narrowing or obstruction.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Asthalin contains Salbutamol, a short-acting beta-2 agonist (SABA). It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, allowing them to open up and making breathing easier.

HOW TO USE?
Take Asthalin 2mg as directed by your doctor, typically 2 to 4 times daily. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

SIDE EFFECTS
Common: Tremors, headache, nervousness, fast heartbeat
Rare: Muscle cramps, chest pain, low potassium levels
Report any serious or persistent side effects to your doctor.

WHAT TO DO IF I MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.

  • Use with caution in patients with heart disease, diabetes, seizure disorders, or thyroid problems

  • Regularly monitor pulse and breathing pattern

WHEN DO I NEED TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP?
Get medical help immediately if you experience:

  • Worsening breathing difficulties

  • Allergic reactions (swelling, rash, difficulty breathing)

CAN I TAKE IT WITH OTHER MEDICINES?
Inform your doctor if you're taking:

  • Beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol)

  • Diuretics, digoxin, or MAO inhibitors
These may increase the risk of side effects or reduce effectiveness.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS
No specific food restrictions. Can be taken with or without food. Avoid excessive caffeine, which may increase side effects like jitteriness.

HOW TO STORE?
Store at 15–30°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

PREGNANCY CATEGORY
