Rablet 10 – Rabeprazole Sodium Tablets

WHAT IS THIS MEDICATION FOR?

Rablet 10 is used to treat acid-related stomach and esophagus problems, such as acid reflux (GERD), ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It helps relieve symptoms like heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough caused by excess stomach acid.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

Rablet 10 contains Rabeprazole Sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI).
It works by reducing the production of stomach acid, promoting healing of acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, and preventing ulcers and reflux symptoms.


HOW TO USE?

  • Take one tablet once daily, preferably before a meal.

  • Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.

  • Follow your doctor’s instructions for dosage and duration of treatment.


SIDE EFFECTS

Common:

  • Headache

  • Diarrhea or constipation

  • Nausea, vomiting

  • Stomach pain, gas

Rare but Serious:

  • Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

  • Liver problems (yellowing of skin or eyes)

  • Persistent diarrhea (sign of Clostridium difficile infection)

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe side effects.


WHAT TO DO IF I MISS A DOSE?

  • Take the missed dose as soon as you remember.

  • If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one.

  • Do not double the dose to make up for a missed tablet.


PRECAUTIONS

  • Not recommended for patients with severe liver disease without medical supervision.

  • Inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis or vitamin B12 deficiency.

  • Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures and low magnesium levels.

  • Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding – only if prescribed by a doctor.


WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP

Contact a doctor immediately if you experience:

  • Persistent stomach pain

  • Bloody or black stools

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Unexplained weight loss


CAN I TAKE IT WITH OTHER MEDICINES?

Avoid taking Rablet 10 with:

  • Antiretroviral drugs like atazanavir, nelfinavir

  • Methotrexate (high doses)

  • Antifungal medicines like ketoconazole or itraconazole

Always inform your doctor about all medications you are taking.


FOOD RESTRICTIONS

  • Take before meals for best results.

  • Avoid alcohol, spicy foods, and caffeine, as they can worsen acid reflux symptoms.


HOW TO STORE

  • Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C.

  • Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

  • Keep out of reach of children.
